Utjung, a talented Paiwan singer-songwriter, has been nominated for three awards at the 2024 Golden Melody Awards, "Album of the Year," "Best Indigenous Language Artist," and "Best Indigenous Language Album." In 2017, he won the theme song competition for the Taipei Universiade with "Embrace the World with You," performing as a special guest at the opening ceremony. He made history as the first Paiwan artist to reach over ten million views on YouTube with his traditional Paiwan compositions, becoming one of the most notable music producers in the industry. In 2018, he ventured into film, starring in the feature film “Alifu, the Prince/ss”, which earned him a nomination for "Best Newcomer" at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival. The film was also selected for competition at the Tokyo Film Festival and received recognition at the Taipei Film Festival, where he won the "Best New Talent" award.
In 2020, he released his first digital album, “Apaz (Root)”, which was nominated for Best Alternative Pop Album at the Golden Indie Music Awards. He is renowned as a top theme song producer in the music scene, personally composing and performing for significant events such as the "National Indigenous Games," the "Kaohsiung Women of the World (WOW),” the "Street Dance Competition Theme Song" at the Kacalisiyan Arts Festival, and the "Taipei Indigenous Cultural festival.”
