Taiwan PASIWALI Festival
PASIWALI is a word from the language of Taiwan’s Indigenous Amis/Pangcah people, meaning “toward the east” — the direction of the rising sun.
The Taiwan PASIWALI Festival is a global platform for Indigenous cultural exchange through music. Indigenous artists from around the world gather in Taiwan to share their cultural memories, life stories, and creative energy through song, dance, and instruments.
Imagine centuries ago, when Indigenous ancestors crossed mountains and seas, building connections through music and culture. Today, PASIWALI continues that spirit — beginning in Taiwan and opening to the world, inviting the voices of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania to weave together a magnificent journey of sound and culture.
