Craft & Aesthetics Studio

This year’s Tribal House features four Indigenous creators from Pingtung — Lumamiling (Black Warriors),  Ljaukui Workshop, KAO Shu-nai, and Tuku Ragiwsane (Tu Tsai-Lien). Using materials drawn from everyday life, they transform the textures, memories, and intuitions of daily experience into one-of-a-kind works. These creations have no preset names or formulas; instead, they embody an “unnamed aesthetics” that carries the spirit of their ancestors — art that emerges from life yet transcends it, glowing with the brilliance of the present moment.

In addition to the exhibition of these four artists’ works, a series of craft workshops will also be offered, including card weaving, beaded marine creature bracelet, floral wreaths made from gathered plants, and paper mulberry bark night lights. The public is warmly invited to join and learn through hands-on participation.
